Lesson Types

We provide both face-to-face and online lessons:

Face-to-Face Lesson

Instructor will meet you at a place you designate.
You can get more detailed and direct instructions.

Online Lesson

Lessons will be held by zoom.
You can take lessons from anywhere you like and record them for review.

Steps to Start Lessons

Please contact us either through contact form or through LINE.

We will then schedule a specific date and time for the consultation session.

Free Consultation Session

At our consultation session, we will cover such items as your goal, lesson schedule and whether or not you have kimonos and other items necessary for the lesson.

Start of Lesson

Once we agree on the outline of your lesson, we will then start.

Lesson Hours & Fees

Private lesson 3,300 JPY per 90 min
Group lesson (up to 3 persons) 3,300 JPY per person per 120 min
  • Tax is included in above fees.
  • Round trip transportation cost of the instructor is separately charged.
  • Settlement can be made by cash or QR code (e.g., PayPay and au PAY).

Yes, you can.  We will discuss your current situation in the initial consultation session, set your goal and plan your lessons.

Yes. Please let us know that you are interested in our kimono lessons, and we will discuss how to prepare the necessary items for the lesson, including rental options.

Depending on your goals and availability, private lessons are often held twice a month and last for 90 minutes.

For a half-width obi for a yukata, you will be able to tie it in the first lesson.

A Nagoya obi for casual kimonos requires about 2 months of lessons, while a Fukuro obi for formal kimonos requires about 3 months of lessons.

Please note that the time needed until you can actually tie the obi and wear the kimono by yourself depends on how much time you have for practice.
